Here is a simple recipe for making banana bread:
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/3 cup of melted butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 3/4 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and eggs. Mix until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, combine the baking powder, baking soda, salt, and flour. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and mix until just combined.
- Fold in any additional ingredients such as nuts or chocolate chips if desired
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth out the top.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
- Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and serve, Enjoy!
- You can add some other ingredients to make it different, such as cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom or even some spices to make it more delicious.
Also, to make it healthier you can use whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose or use some oats or flaxseed to add more nutrients.
